Hair Detox
When you first come to my salon for a color, or chemical service, we will first detox your hair. The reason for this is that I want the CLEANEST canvas possible. I want to ensure that we don't have any chemical reactions.
We live in an area with really hard water, a growing population and snow runoff. Which equals to elevated levels of minerals, chlorine and a high pH to the water you use every day. Which in turn leads to mineral buildup, and damage to your hair if we color or highlight over those minerals.
My solution to this is a Malibu Crystal gel treatment. it is about a 60 min treatment that is very gentle, and effective for detoxing the hair. Then we can proceed with your color. This treatment will need to be repeated 4 times a year.
We can also do this treatment even if you don't color! its amazing for reviving dull, lifeless and heavy feeling hair.
This is insurance for you, and me.
There are also retail items that you can use to help prevent more mineral buildup at home.
I use this amazing product in all my color services. It is a bond multiplier that strengthens the structure of your hair. This additive is included in the cost of your color service. I truly believe in this technology, and I want your hair to be the healthiest that it can be. It is patented technology that performs just as promised.
It is also great as a stand alone treatment to help strengthen and protect. so if you're not a color client, you can still benefit from this treatment.
